Energy Efficient Mortgage Label

Energy Efficient Mortgage Label (EEML) is a clear and transparent quality label for consumers, lenders and investors, aimed at identifying energy efficient mortgages (EEM) in lending institutions’ portfolios, which are intended to finance the purchase/construction and/or renovation of both residential (single family & multi-family) and commercial buildings, with a focus on building energy performance.

The label is created with the intention of being a global benchmark for mortgage loans to energy efficient buildings, for the use of financial institutes and international investors.

EEML is a part of European Covered Bond Council (ECBC) and European Mortgage Federation (EMF) and was established in 2019.

Information on the financial institutions mortgage loans, including loans to energy efficient buildings, is published in EEML Harmonised Disclosure Template (HDT). The template contains information on the energy efficiency of the entire lending portfolio and separate information on loans financing energy efficient buildings (EEML eligible loans).

To be compliant with the criteria set up in EEML Jyske Realkredit will on a quarterly basis (at the same time as publication of financial results) publish an updated HDT on jyskerealkredit.com.

The definition on Energy Efficient buildings for Jyske Realkredit follows the definitions in Jyske Bank Group Green Finance Framework.
